Occassionally after rebooting the system, I'll get one good search link click, but it invaribly goes to a redirect link on the second try. I've also reset my router but that didn't seem to do anything in regards to the issue. I've updated things like Adobe, Java and AVG today. I also tried to boot my computer into Safe Mode and was unable to do so as I got a blue screen with an error message after F8 and trying either Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Networking. They are all coming up clean now, but the redirects continue.
Been working on this almost non-stop since it occurred. I have run several programs including Spybot S&D, Prevx, AVG scans, and a couple others to no avail. However, there is still something on my system as I'm getting redirected when clicking on google, yahoo, etc search links. I immediately ran an updated Malawarebytes scan and it cleaned most of it.
About 24 hours ago, our computer was infected with what appeared to be the 2010 Internet Security Virus/Malware.
